Simplicity Counts™ offers three main coaching packages, plus an optional introductory package:

Introductory Package — 3 Blocks
An optional introduction to Simplicity Counts™ for families who are not yet ready to commit to a full coaching package.

Bronze — 25 Blocks | Recommended for Grades 2–3
An early opportunity to strengthen foundational skills, develop strong mathematical habits, and build confidence before learning gaps become more difficult to close.

Silver — 50 Blocks | Recommended for Grades 4–7
Our most popular package. These are often ideal years to catch up and move beyond grade level, with some students advancing 1–2 instructional grade levels beyond their current school grade.

Gold — 100 Blocks | Recommended for Grades 8–10
Designed for older students who need intensive, accelerated rebuilding to close significant gaps and prepare for increasingly advanced mathematics.

Simplicity Counts™ is not a replacement school curriculum. Rather, it is a system designed to help students catch up by rebuilding a solid mathematical foundation, equipping them with powerful and efficient techniques, and developing learning habits that are transferable to the classroom and beyond.

As their foundational skills and mathematical techniques strengthen, students are better able to apply what they have learned at school, approach mathematics with greater ease and confidence, and manage increasingly complex work more successfully.

Ultimately, the goal is to prepare students to integrate confidently back into grade-level math—with the skills to keep up, move forward, and continue progressing as independently as possible.

Simplicity Counts™ is best suited for students who have fallen behind, developed significant gaps, become anxious or discouraged about math, or tried other tutoring solutions without lasting improvement.

For our coaching process to be effective, your child must be open and willing to learn, follow instruction, practise consistently, and gradually take greater responsibility for their work.

Simplicity Counts™ is an intensive, accelerated program that requires considerable mental focus. Your child needs dedicated time, energy, and mental space to achieve accelerated progress. Being well-rested and having enough room in their weekly schedule are also important.

If your child is frequently on the go, away for extended periods, or heavily overcommitted, they may find it difficult to maintain the focus and consistency required, which can ultimately affect their progress and results.

All potential enrolments begin with an Assessment & Strategic Consultation.

During the initial assessment, I evaluate your child’s existing mathematical foundation to determine what is already secure, where foundational gaps exist, and their actual mathematical grade level.

After assessing your child and discussing their individual needs and goals with you, I will recommend the appropriate coaching frequency. As a general guideline:

Grades 2–3: 1–2 blocks per week
Grades 4–7: 2–4 blocks per week
Grades 8–10: 4–6 blocks per week

Each coaching block is 45 minutes.

Like training for a sport, consistent coaching and assigned practice between sessions are important for building momentum and achieving accelerated progress.

Your child will begin coaching where they actually are mathematically, rather than automatically starting with material assigned to their current grade.

From there, I personalize the Simplicity Counts™ Math System to your child’s needs and walk them through mathematics step-by-step, rebuild their necessary Show your Work math habits, and progressively build the foundation and confidence they need to move into more advanced mathematics.

Simplicity Counts™ is designed to accelerate learning—but acceleration does not mean rushing.

Your child progresses as they demonstrate readiness for what comes next, with results developing throughout the program.

As a general guideline, if your child is committed to the coaching process, practises consistently, and has the time and capacity to engage fully, they are typically ready to integrate back into grade-level mathematics within the following timeframes:

Grades 2–3: approximately 2–4 months*
Grades 4–7: approximately 4–8 months*
Grades 8–10: approximately 4–12 months or longer*

*Timeframes vary depending on your child’s starting point, the extent of their foundational gaps, coaching frequency, practice, and individual progress.

Simplicity Counts™ is an intensive, accelerated program designed to help students catch up and reintegrate into grade-level math. Maintaining consistency and learning momentum is important for achieving the desired results.

Each coaching package includes a limited vacation hold allowance:

• Bronze: up to 1 week

• Silver: up to 2 weeks

• Gold: up to 3 weeks

Families who travel frequently or anticipate extended absences should keep these vacation allowances in mind when considering the program.

After completing Simplicity Counts™, your child should be ready to integrate comfortably into grade-level mathematics—or beyond—with stronger foundations, powerful math techniques, greater confidence, and better learning habits.

What comes next will depend on your child’s grade level, individual needs, and goals.

If your child is in Grades 2–7, they may be ready to continue learning primarily through their classroom teacher, with additional support only as needed.

If your child is in Grades 8–10, particularly as they move into increasingly advanced mathematics, they may benefit from continued support to reinforce their learning and successfully navigate more challenging coursework.

If your child would like to continue progressing beyond grade level, they may also level up with me, building on their learning momentum and moving into higher-level mathematics, subject to availability.

Yes. All Simplicity Counts™ coaching is provided live, one-on-one through Zoom.
